CHILD SOLDIER IN BOKO HARAM CAMP

Suddenly, it sounds like blast
covering all the surface with
Black smoke.
Could it be the destruction of
Abuja Zuma rock? or the new
Development the government
Promises?
I thought.

To all hills of Abuja down to far
North, to red clay of east and to
Dark clay in west have i grassed
My cattle
In all i have seen the beauty of this
Country from different high hills
Have i viewed.

Like dream i have been held against
My wish to fight for something
I knew nothing about.
To fight beast i have been taught
How to fight wild beast that comes
After my cattle but now I'm in camp
Of boko haram learning how to kill
My kind for religionous gain

I'm young and little to choose
My rights to freedom
For i have been given a gun against
My will to fight for boko haram.
Can someone save me? save me
From the terror I'm becoming.
For i choose to be a herdsman in
The field
