Photo Of Ike Ekweremadu's House Blocked By Armed Police In Abuja

Security agencies are reportedly laying siege on the homes of Senate President Bukola Saraki and Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu in Abuja. A political activist, Prince Henry Nwazuruahu Shield, did a live video as he was prevented from entering the street of the deputy senate president.

According to media reports, the move is said to be an apparent ploy to prevent them from making it to the National Assembly today because of an alleged plan by many lawmakers to decamp en masse from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Mr Saraki was summoned to appear at police department for further investigation into alleged killings in Kwara State at 8:00 a.m. today. It remained unclear why the police blocked his residence at dawn.

Mr Ekweremadu had no prior police invitation.

The planned cross carpeting, if allowed to take place, would render the APC a minority party before the end of Tuesday, a fact attested to by the Peoples Democratic Party leader in the House of Representatives on Monday.

APC Senators May Unseat Saraki Today - The Guardian

There are indications that the reign of Senator Bukola Saraki as the president of the Nigerian Senate may come to an end today if plans by a group of senators materialise.

Saraki is rumoured to have concluded his defection plans from the ruling All Progressives Congress sometime this week, a move that would leave the leadership of the Senate in the hands of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party.

“There is plan for rival Senate group to sit and elect new principal officers today,” a source told The Guardian.

Saraki’s nPDP caucus of the APC last month accused the APC of failing to honour its campaign promises, tagging the party as deceitful. The group has since cut ties with the APC.

Saraki on his part has been having a running battle with a power bloc in the party. This culminated in him being invited by the Nigerian police in June after it claimed that members of a robbery gang that attacked six banks and killed 33 persons in Offa, Kwara, confessed to have a “direct link” to the senate president.

Saraki denied any wrongdoing.

He was again invited late Monday night to appear at Guzape Police Station on Tuesday morning.

His residence, as well as that of his deputy, PDP’s Ike Ekweremadu, was initially besieged by police officers who thought he was going to abscond. He was, however, allowed to leave his home to honour the police invitation.

In his absence, The Guardian, a group of senators, plan to install a new Senate President.

More details later.

Charlyboy, also known as Area Fada, on his Instagram page stated that Pentecostalism had promoted miracles over hard work, and materialism over spirituality, hence reason Nigerians can’t even stand up against injustice.

He added that Pentecostal pastors were ‘only legally and politically accepted movement completely based upon systematic fraud, deception and cheating.’

Sharing a video of a Pastor praying for his congregation, Charly Boy wrote; “I Decree now that my people are dying to believe in something, especially if it’s magical, because we have the messiah complex. Somebody out there, will come sooner than later, to make all our problems disappear. Na so. That is why we are paralysed and corrupted by fear, we can’t even stand up to injustice. We are waiting for God to come rescue us.

“Pentecostalism has promoted miracles over hard work, materialism over spirituality. Even if one goes into pastoring on a pure and innocent level, you can’t help but be corrupted by easy money when you sell hope and create enemies all over.

“It is a cool way to make a living and make decisions that bring in the cash.
Pentecostalism na modern-day commercial enterprise garnished in the cloak of religion with deception and exploitation as its foundation.

“Their goal na the complete monetisation of people’s ignorance. It remains the only legally and politically accepted movement completely based upon systematic fraud, deception and cheating.”
